
Presented by Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment (ACME) Art in Public Places, the People’s Gallery 2026 exhibition showcases the work of over 105 talented local artists from across the Greater Austin area. Guests will experience an inspiring collection of paintings, sculptures, drawings, and other works of art throughout the iconic spaces of Austin City Hall.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Starting with the opening reception, visitors can vote for their favorite artwork in the exhibition. The artwork receiving the most votes will be considered for purchase and addition to the City of Austin’s permanent art collection as the People’s Choice.
Voting will be available from October 2, 2026, through October 1, 2027.
Held every two years, the People’s Gallery showcases the diverse work of regional artists while highlighting the unique architecture and dynamic public spaces of Austin City Hall. For the 2026 exhibition, approximately 250 local artists applied, with 105 artists selected by a panel of arts professionals, including Georgina Treviño, Nina Q. Ho, and Moyosore Okediji. We also welcome artists from Imagine Art and Artly World, highlighting the impact of art on our community.
The exhibition will remain on display at Austin City Hall through May 26, 2028.
Limited paid parking is available in the City Hall garage. Visitors are encouraged to walk, bike, and use public transportation.
