I’m excited to announce my participation in the 2026 Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival with TRACES: We Belong to the Light, a new moving-image artwork created for this celebration of art, light, and community. The work will transform a downtown San Antonio façade into a luminous, moving artwork. Layered imagery, light, and subtle motion will flow across the architecture, creating an immersive experience that connects the building, the creek, and the nighttime festival scene. Drawing from the natural world, memory, and the unexpected, TRACES invites us to look closer, experience wonder, and celebrate our shared light. Light leaves traces. Images emerge, shift, and disappear, leaving impressions that linger beyond the moment. Through this interplay of imagery and motion, the work explores how we experience the world around us and the connections we share with the places we inhabit and the people beside us. At its heart, TRACES is about a shared experience of wonder. For a little while, familiar surroundings become something unexpected, and we become part of a larger gathering shaped by creativity, light, and possibility.
