Works address themes of identity, sexuality, local history, and storytelling for the exhibition, Unbanned.
Artists explore these subjects from perspectives that are underrepresented in mainstream culture & history and/or offer new interpretations of local and personal histories.
From intimate explorations of identity to reinterpretations of place and memory, Unbanned highlights voices that challenge, reclaim, and reimagine the stories we inherit.
The exhibition includes work in a range of mediums, and each piece is accompanied by a short audio component recorded by the artist, offering deeper insight into the ideas and experiences behind the work.
