SUMMARY:People’s Gallery 2026-2028
DESCRIPTION:I’m thrilled to have my work included in People’s Gallery 2026–2028\, Austin’s biennial exhibition celebrating the breadth and creativity of artists from across the Greater Austin area. \nMy artwork\, Where the Truth Waits\, from The Other Side collection\, is on view in the Atrium Lobby at Austin City Hall. \nThe piece explores the space between what we see and what remains unseen. Through layered imagery\, shifting perspectives\, and symbolic forms\, I’m interested in the idea of adjacent realities and the ways our perceptions shape what we believe to be true. The shimmering imagery and surreal environment invite us to look beyond the surface and consider the possibility that there is always another side\, another perspective\, another truth waiting to be discovered. \nWhere the Truth Waits\nThe Other Side\nComposite photography\, mixed media\nArchival inks on canvas\, acrylic paint\, hand-textured aluminum\, red oak \nPresented by Austin Arts\, Culture\, Music and Entertainment (ACME) Art in Public Places\, the 2026-2028 People’s Gallery features the work of more than 105 local artists\, selected from approximately 250 applicants. Artwork is installed throughout the distinctive public spaces of Austin City Hall\, creating an exhibition that is as much a celebration of Austin as it is of its artists. \nThe exhibition is free and open to the public and will remain on view through May 26\, 2028. \nMy piece can be found in the Atrium Lobby. Come see it in person\, and while you’re there\, take some time to experience the remarkable architecture of Austin City Hall. \n  \nAbout the People’s Gallery\nHeld every two years\, the People’s Gallery showcases the diverse work of regional artists while highlighting the unique architecture and dynamic public spaces of Austin City Hall. For the 2026 exhibition\, approximately 250 local artists applied\, with 105 artists selected by a panel of arts professionals\, including Georgina Treviño\, Nina Q. Ho\, and Moyosore Okediji. We also welcome artists from Imagine Art and Artly World\, highlighting the impact of art on our community. \nThe exhibition will remain on display at Austin City Hall through May 26\, 2028. \nLimited paid parking is available in the City Hall garage. Visitors are encouraged to walk\, bike\, and use public transportation. \nFor accessibility accommodations or reasonable modifications\, please contact the City of Austin. \nView the Artworks\n  \nCast Your Vote for the People’s Choice\nStarting with the opening reception\, visitors can vote for their favorite artwork in the exhibition. The artwork receiving the most votes will be considered for purchase and addition to the City of Austin’s permanent art collection as the People’s Choice. \nVoting will be available from October 2\, 2026\, through October 1\, 2027. \n

SUMMARY:Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival takes place Saturday\, November 14\, from 6 p.m. to midnight along Houston Street in downtown San Antonio. This free\, outdoor festival brings together artists and audiences for an evening of digital art\, installations\, live music\, film\, poetry\, performance\, and more. \nI hope come experience this special night of art and light. \nSaturday\, November 14\, 2026 | 6 p.m. to midnight\nDowntown San Antonio\, Texas\nFree admission \nI’m excited to announce my participation in the 2026 Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival with TRACES: We Belong to the Light\, a new moving-image artwork created for this celebration of art\, light\, and community. The work will transform a downtown San Antonio façade into a luminous\, moving artwork. Layered imagery\, light\, and subtle motion will flow across the architecture\, creating an immersive experience that connects the building\, the creek\, and the nighttime festival scene. Drawing from the natural world\, memory\, and the unexpected\, TRACES invites us to look closer\, experience wonder\, and celebrate our shared light. Light leaves traces. Images emerge\, shift\, and disappear\, leaving impressions that linger beyond the moment. Through this interplay of imagery and motion\, the work explores how we experience the world around us and the connections we share with the places we inhabit and the people beside us. At its heart\, TRACES is about a shared experience of wonder. For a little while\, familiar surroundings become something unexpected\, and we become part of a larger gathering shaped by creativity\, light\, and possibility. \nJoin me at Luminaria! \nEvent details: Visit the official Luminaria website for festival information and updates.
